What does it mean by sustainable development? The meaning is that, It is the ways we conserving our resources and building our communities, our culture to live comfortably without using and wasting too much resources in order to make the future generation have chances to witness a wide biodiversity. The nature gives various resources; people are all using it in the different ways to satisfy their need and wants. However, the resource are limited whereas the wants are unlimited, this will cause the depleting of resources. It is simple to say that, if we damage the environmental so we reduce our resources consumptions as well. It is just like the circle, when we get the benefits from it; we also need to get the consequences too, for example, china having a lot of factories and using so many chemical produces so their consequences is they polluting their river and cannot get use from river anymore. The earth has the natural balance, and the over consumption such as over-using land, over-fishing or deforestation are all the ways that make the earth cannot be renew so, sustainable development is required. Living sustainably mean that we can consume our resources as much as we need but make sure to never consume until it can’t be replace. Government, business and consumer should better change their habit for sustainable development to be norm, not the exception. By co-operating in sustainable development, we can all look forward to a green future.

Response to 2004Tsunami video
Tsunami is one of the most violent killer among the natural disasters, there are nearly 300,000 people had been killed by this. After watching this video I feel so empathy to all of the victims, they even don’t know or ever think that the next minute they will lost their love ones, some lost wife, some lost kids, some lost sisters, brother and some lost mum and dad. It is just too abrupt to them to accept what they had faced. Moreover, language barriers also caused the difficulty to the victims because while they are get lost, no money and even can’t understand the local language so the situation would be worst. I would say that, it is hard to describe how their feeling is without staying in the same situation. Government should take action to overcome all of those problems. As in the video showed, there is no warning system so the government is the one who taking the responsibility for this. Government also needs to think about the well distribution of help when demand exceed, who should get the help first, where should the supplies donated and who has the first priority to get. Furthermore, looting in times of disaster is another point to concern and should be banned as quickly as possible because it will make the victims more difficult to face in the mean time.
To sum up, it is not easy to overcome all of the problems in the sudden situation and we can't say it is right or wrong to blame on the government that has no warning system because it is the natural disaster that it would happen without knowing. I would recommend that, people should learn how to pre-caution to all those natural disasters and the government should be paying more concern to it to reduce the number of death tolls of the next disaster.
